Stuffed French Loaf

  • 16 oz unsliced french loaf bread

    Cut out the top of french bread and scoop out some of the inner loaf, crumble into bread crumbs and add to cooked meat mixture before assembling

  • 1/2lb pork sausage

  • 1/2lb ground chuck

  • 1 med onion

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 cups shredded mozzerella

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard

  • 3/4 tsp fennel seed

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • *add in bread crumbs from loaf before asembling

Brush on top and sides of loaf after assembling

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp of chopped parsley
