Zucchini and Squash Tart
Zucchini and Squash Tart
Thinly sliced:
1 onion
3-4 zucchini
3-4 squash
Saute these veggies with 2 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt,
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp all purpose seasoning- Mrs. Dash Original
Drain
Add 7.5 oz. Chive and Onion cream cheese
and 8 oz. regular cream cheese
Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry - 2 sheets
Set out at room temperature for 40 minutes
Add: The veggie mix to the puff pastry and leave a 1 inch border.
Top with parmesean and sliced provolone
Egg wash: 1 tbsp water and 1 egg
Add 2nd puff pastry sheet on top of veggie mix.
Brush egg wash ( 1 egg and 1 tbsp water) on seams of puff pastry. Press together and crimp with a fork.
Brush egg wash on top of pastry.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes
I like to top mine with:
Freshly grated parmesan and a sprinkle of salt
