John Wayne Casserole
Cowboy layer:
Sauté 2 lbs lean ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder/ onion powder
salt and pepper
1 bellpepper,
1 onion
the juice from the chiles and rotel
1/3c water
3 tablespoons taco seasoning
White Cheese Layer:
1 block fat free cream cheese
2 tablespoons ranch
salt and pepper
1 cup pepper jack
1/2c fat free sour cream
4 oz. green chiles
Topping:
1 cup cheddar cheese
1/4 cup pepper jack
Cilantro to garnish
To assemble the casserole:
Smush biscuits or cresent rolls in bottom of pan for the crust.
Layer on the meat and add a layer of the rotel
Cover with the white cheese layer
Top with 1 cup cheddar cheese and 1/4 cup pepper jack
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes, and then at 375 for 10 minutes
Add some cilantro to garnish
